KernzaⓇ Clearwater Revivalt
Beer. This ale is malty, slightly sweet and reminiscent of a German Alt, though lighter in color due to being made with nearly 20% Kernza®, a perennial wheat grass. We used the Clearwater varietal (developed by the U of M) and besides being good for soil and water health, Kernza® lends a pleasant nuttiness to the beer as well!
